A stay at The Kennels is a far cry from "being sent to the dog-house". Built by the 11th Duke of Hamilton as the residence of his Head Gamekeeper, it has been fully renovated and equipped to a high standard. It neighbours Brodick Castle, itself, sharing the exclusive Castle driveway and looks out over Brodick Bay.
The Kennels is situated in the privacy of its own garden and grounds, about 3 km. (1.5 miles) North of Brodick. The luxury accommodation provides for up to 10 persons (plus a sofa bed for two more, if required).
The accommodation comprises:
FIRST FLOOR:
The Hamilton Room: Twin single beds
The Montrose Room: Twin single beds
The Graham Room: Double bed
The Douglas Room: Bunk Beds
Bathroom: with w.c. and hand basin
Shower Room: with w.c. and hand basin
GROUND FLOOR:
The Baden Room, en suite with bathroom, w.c. and hand basin
Drawing Room with open fire, T.V. and video and sofa-bed
Dining Room with seating for 12
Hall and cloakroom w.c.
Modern, fully equipped kitchen, with gas hob, twin electric ovens, microwave etc.
Availability: Year round
Linen, reasonable electricity, coal and logs will be included in the price as will use of the telephone to the value of £5 (over £5, full costs will be charged). However, a cot, high chair and stair gate is provided.
